Dans le cadre du swap anniversaire, c'est à Manou que chacune d'entre nous devait envoyer un colis ce mois ci. Je vous rappelle que le colis devait contenir : une création (homemade), une gourmandise, une surprise (homemade or not) et une carte. Je n'ai pas eu à réfléchir longtemps. Manou aime les tortues et les ours. Donc facile je tiens ma création et ma surprise. La gourmandise sera des pâtes de fruits et la carte il n'y a que l'embarras du choix. Quelques emplettes plus tard c'est avec confiance que je me suis attelée à la tâche. La tortue impeccable ... le décopatch c'est easy MAIS l'ours!!!!! Celui-la m'a causé énormément de soucis. Ce qui semblait facile au départ m'a donné du fil à retordre! si bien que j'ai dû faire appel à une professionnelle de la couture pour l'assemblage de base qui se devait d'être impeccable. Après beaucoup de sueur je ne suis pas mécontente du produit fini. J'espère que Manou sera satisfaite. En images voilà ce que donnait mon colis :

Depuis le début de la semaine, c'est avec beaucoup d'impatience que tous les soirs et ce jusqu'à aujourd'hui j'ouvrais ma boîte aux lettres malheureusement VIDE! Et puis ce soir il y avait un petit colis qui ressemblait à ca :

et m'attendait bien sagement. Je n'ai pas regretté de m'être un peu mouillée pour aller l'ouvrir cette boîte aux lettres! En arrivant à la maison, je n'ai pu résister très longtemps et j'ai découvert cela :

Ananala s'est excusée pour le papier cadeau qui n'est plus de saison. Moi je les ai trouvé mignons les Pères-Noël. Le sautoir est super et l'idée des trèfles dans la cannette c'est génial! La pochette à pois me sera bien utile. Quand au chocolat fait maison je me suis laissée tenter et il est très bon. La carte d'anniversaire est plutôt originale et j'aime.

Après être allée à la boîte aux lettres samedi, c'est le colis de Cline que j'y ai découvert. En images, voici ce que Miss Août m'a envoyé :

En l'ouvrant j'ai d'abord aperçu plein de couleurs! celles de prospectus d'une agence de voyage d'abord! Puis du rouge et surtout cette grosse et jolie fleur. En déballant le tout j'ai découvert une boîte en forme de canard pleine de petites perles en plastique roses et turquoises et un ornement que je pourrais utiliser pour un futur projet décopatch. Il y avait une jolie carte que Cline a dû faire elle même ainsi qu'un livre de recettes à compléter dans lequel il y avait cependant la recette des Muffins aux Schoko-bons dont un paquet faisait également parti du colis. Je tiens à dire à Cline que j'ai trouvé magnifique son marque page fait maison et que j'ai trouvé très originale sa manière de présenter ses paquets. MERCI beaucoup Miss Août.

C'est en naviguant de blog en blog que j'ai découvert ce challenge organisé par Hilde http://bloghost.hautetfort.com/  et par Soukee http://bouquinbourg.canalblog.com/ et dont le sujet principal n'est autre que l'Inde. Deux logos annonciateurs étaient proposés et j'ai choisit celui-là :

Si j'ai bien compris il faut que je choisisse dans la liste d'ouvrages proposés un ou plusieurs livres. Après en avoir terminer la lecture je devrais en parler dans un post et ainsi faire partager mon expérience Indienne. La liste est un peu longue. J'ai cependant commencé à regarder le résumé de certains livres dont le titre ou l'auteur m'ont interpellés mais je n'ai encore rien décidé. Pour cela il faudra que je me rende très prochainement à la Fnac pour consulter les livres concernés et arrêter mon choix.

C'est dans le cadre du forum International de littérature et de cinéma qui a eu lieu les 12 et 13 mars 2010 que j'ai pu voir en avant-première le film "Blanc comme neige".

L'histoire : Maxime a tout pour être heureux. Il est le gérant d'une concession florissante de véhicules haut de gamme, il est marié à une délicieuse jeune femme et vit dans une confortable villa. Tout bascule le jour où son associé est assassiné par une bande de malfrats finlandais. Pour essayer de s'en sortir sans trop de casse il demande l'aide de ses deux frères qui ne sont pas très honnêtes. Au lieu d'arranger la situation tout part en vrille.

De mon point de vue ce film n'est pas très bon. J'avais pourtant lu le contraire sur le net et m'étais dit "tiens une bonne critique sur un thriller français, je vais certainement aimer" et bien pas du tout! Comme quoi les avis peuvent différer d'une personne à l'autre.

L'histoire:

Pas facile de vivre sa vie quand on se sent une fille à part, et qu'on trouve le monde hypocrite. Sans cesse déçue et fatiguée de se poser mille questions, Carrie se réfugierait bien définitivement sous sa couette. Pourtant, une voix secrète lui souffle de se donner une seconde chance... en se lançant quelques défis. Notamment, faire une rencontre importante et Dire 'Je t'aime' à quelqu'un ...

Celui-ci m'a également bien plu bien que parfois un peu énervé. L'histoire se passe à notre époque dans la ville de New York où vit désormais Carrie une jeune fille mal dans ses baskets pour différentes raisons dont la principale est qu'elle est une personne surdouée qui ne sait pas gérer son excès de QI dans la vie de tous les jours. Mais à force de persévérance et d'indulgence elle finira par trouver sa voie ...

The story :

Maria, a young girl from a Brazilian village, whose first innocent brushes with love leave her heartbroken. At a tender age, she becomes convinced that she will never find true love, instead believing that "Love is a terrible thing that will make you suffer ..." Very nice. I liked it a lot and until I had read the last sentence I was not sure at all if the end would be happy or not. Maria is bright and keep trying on and on. She trusts herself following different paths (good and bad) and succeeds to find what she ever wanted : true Love.

The story:

It is a heartbreaking story of a boy trapped in silence and the teacher who rescued him. When special education teacher Torey Hayden first met fifteen-year-old Kevin, he was barricaded under a table. Desperately afraid of the world around him, he hadn't spoken a word in eight years. He was considered hopeless, incurable. But Hayden refused to believe it, though she realised it might well take a miracle to break through the walls he had built around himself. With unwavering devotion and gentle, patient love, she set out to free him -- and slowly uncovered a shocking violent history and a terrible secret that an unfeeling bureaucracy had simply filed away and forgotten. Torey refused to give up on this tragic "lost case." For a trapped and frightened boy desperately needed her help -- and she knew in her heart she could not rest easy until she had rescued him from the darkness.

That one was very hard to read especially when it came to the description of the terrible secret. How many child in the world suffer from that kind of abuses and never get help as Kevin did luckily. Despite his behaviour this boy (from my point of view) deserves to be happy. Fortunately no matters what happened Torey never let him down and succeed to give him the tips to have a decent life.

Bien que déçue par son dernier film "Plan B" (pour quelques détails minimes - je dois l'avouer -) c'est avec un grand optimisme que j'ai regardé hier soir "Sa mère ou moi". Jennifer Lopez y était magnifique (comme toujours) - Je suis fan donc peut être pas forcément objective, mais bon ... - et malgré quelques scènes un peu trop "cinéma" j'ai bien rigolé.

L'histoire : Charlie (Jennifer Lopez) est une jeune fille bien sous tout rapport et vit de plusieurs petits boulots : promeneuse de chiens, assistante dans un labo, et ponctuellement serveuse... Elle rencontre un jour Kevin (Michael Vartan) qui a tout l'air d'être le prince charmant : beau, riche, drôle, sportif... Quelques temps après le début de leur relation, il l'emmène chez sa mère Viola (Jane Fonda) : la journée se passe tellement bien et les deux femmes s'entendent de façon si extraordinaire que Kevin demande Charlie en mariage devant sa mère. Celle-ci, sortant à peine d'une dépression nerveuse, pète littéralement les plombs et se jure de devenir la pire belle-mère existant sur terre afin de les séparer.

As I am going away for a couple of days, I sent today the parcel to Alyssa living in New York who is 19 years old. The guy at the post office told me that it would take 5 days to reach her place. I doubt! but let's be positive and think that by next week Alyssa is going to get it and like it.

While on my lunch break going through the Metropole Galerie I could discovered Hiro Ando exhibition. His sumocats come in different sizes. They are red, black, white and grey.

Hiro Ando was born in 1973 on the Island of Shikoku in Japan. In 1995, Hiro Ando began a career as an illustrator after graduating from the university of Tama Art in Tokyo. In 2005, he founded an artists' studio in Tokyo with another artist , Saori Nakamishi to manage the creation and promotion of other young neo-pop artists who include their own popular culture in their creations. Today around 10 artists are part of this studio "Crazynoodles". Hiro Ando is a polyvalent artist. He has used oil on canvas, digital supports and worked in video art. Hiro's technique consists in elaborating several basic sketches before painting on the canvas. The last take shapes and emerges from the streets of Tokyo by night, they are clad with colors and graphics and move in groups. Hiro paints dark urban landscapes with red fish scattered in the canvas. The mix of the two topics makes the whole canvas both dynamic and violent, with an odd feeling of eternity due to the red fish which are reminiscent of ancient Japanese paintings and watercolors. Just recently Ando added sculpture to his large spread of media and started working on a series of sculptures which were inspired by his Japanese popular culture. In this way, the cat, which in Japan is a lucky charm in the form of the Maneki-Neko, comes in a variety of traditionnal Japanese figures such as the Samurai or the Sumo. He translates this theme in a very modern way. The shiny and smooth materials, the bright colors, the sharp but rounded shapes of Hiro Ando's sculptures take us to the world of Mangas in which the artist's generation grew up in. The art of Hiro ANDO is the meeting between the Meiji era and the Manga , it is Shogun in Pokemon land , it is traditionnal Japan viewed through young eyes : it definitely is Japanese Neo Pop Art.

C'est dans l'avion qui nous emportait vers Montréal que j'ai vu ce film : Prince Of Persia

L'histoire : Un prince rebelle est contraint d'unir ses forces avec une mystérieuse princesse pour affronter ensemble les forces du mal et protéger une dague antique capable de libérer les Sables du temps, un don de dieu qui peut inverser le cours du temps et permettre à son possesseur de régner en maître absolu sur le monde.

Poppy Wyatt est au bord de la crise de nerfs : elle vient de perdre sa bague de fiançailles, celle qui est dans la famille de son fiancé Magnus depuis plusieurs générations. Et pour couronner le tout, on vient de lui dérober son portable. 
Juste au moment où elle envisage la fuite à l’étranger, elle découvre dans une poubelle un téléphone. Miracle ! Enfin pas si sûr… 
Car ce portable appartient à l’assistante d’un dénommé Sam qui n’a pas l’air de saisir l’urgence de la situation. A force de supplications, Poppy réussit à le persuader de lui laisser ledit téléphone. C’est juré, c’est l’affaire de quelques heures, et elle lui transmettra tous ses messages d’ici là. 
Sauf que bien entendu, toute cette affaire va rapidement tourner au vinaigre : impossible de retrouver cette foutue bague, la soirée avec les beaux-parents vire au désastre, Magnus n’est pas d’un très grand soutien et Lucinda, la très irritable wedding planner, est aux abonnés absents. Et puis, il y a ces messages étranges reçus sur le portable de Sam, qui laisseraient entendre qu’un complot se prépare contre lui dans sa propre entreprise. 
Poppy parviendra-t-elle à redresser la situation ?

Mon avis :

J'ai beaucoup ri en lisant ce livre ! Je l'ai trouvé très frais. 

1. SAVOR EVERYDAY MOMENTS : appreciate the little things that happen everyday.

2. AVOID COMPARISONS : comparing ourselves to others can be damaging to happiness and self-esteem. Focus on the good in you!

3. PUT MONEY LOW ON THE LIST : People who put money high on their priority list are more at risk of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.

4. HAVE MEANINGFUL GOALS : Strive for a goal, whether is something small like learning to sew or going back to school and getting a medical degree. We require a sense of meaning to thrive.

5. TAKE INITATIVE AT WORK : how happy you are at work depends in part on how much inititative you take. When we help others, suggest improvements or express creativity we make our work more rewarding and feel more in control.

6. MAKE FRIENDS, TREASURE FAMILY : Happier people have good family, friends and supportive relationships. We don't just need relationships, we need close ones that involve understanding and caring.

7. SMILE EVEN WHEN YOU DONT FEEL LIKE IT : It's a simple one but smiling instantly improves your mood and is a wonderful upper for people around you! So SMILE!

8. SAY THANK YOU LIKE YOU MEAN IT : Say thank you, if someone does something nice, don't let it go unnoticed - you will feel good for thanking someone and the person will feel wonderful for being recognized!

9. GET OUT AND EXERCISE : Get off your butt and go for a walk. Exercises releases all the feel good endorphins!

10. GIVE IT AWAY, GIVE IT AWAY NOW! : Make altruism and giving part of your life, and be purposeful about it. Help a neighbor, volunteer, donate goods.

Back to my dream of owning a flat in Mersin. Today I found this one which is a little bit smaller than the previous one i.e. 110 square feet meters, 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, 3rd floor with a seaview. 85 000 TL

I would probably replace the closet doors in the hall and paint all the doors white as I do not really like that dark brown. Other than that the bathroom seems nice (except that I would see if there is a possibility to add a bathtub) so does the kitchen. There is a balcony which is great for my cat who likes to look outside.

I would love to own several flats... here and there ... The house quotation raised a lot in Istanbul nevertheless I am pretty sure that with a bit of money and good tips, good bargain are still available. I am not really sure where this one is (it is mentioned İstanbul Ümraniye Armağanevler) but it seems to be very nice and brand new. 180 square meters, 5 bedrooms (they may be a bit small), 1 living room, 1 bathroom, 5th floor, a balcony together with a terrasse. 275 000 TL + 3% commission.

I had seen the ad regarding this new Swatch couple weeks ago in my favorite turkish magazine which is called "Süper". Their webpage link is http://www.super-dergi.com/. I went to different Swatch store but no one had heard about this watch ! This morning when I opened my facebook page it was there !
