1. SAVOR EVERYDAY MOMENTS : appreciate the little things that happen everyday.

2. AVOID COMPARISONS : comparing ourselves to others can be damaging to happiness and self-esteem. Focus on the good in you!

3. PUT MONEY LOW ON THE LIST : People who put money high on their priority list are more at risk of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.

4. HAVE MEANINGFUL GOALS : Strive for a goal, whether is something small like learning to sew or going back to school and getting a medical degree. We require a sense of meaning to thrive.

5. TAKE INITATIVE AT WORK : how happy you are at work depends in part on how much inititative you take. When we help others, suggest improvements or express creativity we make our work more rewarding and feel more in control.

6. MAKE FRIENDS, TREASURE FAMILY : Happier people have good family, friends and supportive relationships. We don't just need relationships, we need close ones that involve understanding and caring.

7. SMILE EVEN WHEN YOU DONT FEEL LIKE IT : It's a simple one but smiling instantly improves your mood and is a wonderful upper for people around you! So SMILE!

8. SAY THANK YOU LIKE YOU MEAN IT : Say thank you, if someone does something nice, don't let it go unnoticed - you will feel good for thanking someone and the person will feel wonderful for being recognized!

9. GET OUT AND EXERCISE : Get off your butt and go for a walk. Exercises releases all the feel good endorphins!

10. GIVE IT AWAY, GIVE IT AWAY NOW! : Make altruism and giving part of your life, and be purposeful about it. Help a neighbor, volunteer, donate goods.
