Craft/penpals - I want to give it a try !
Since a couple of days the pocket letters of Janette Lane are everywhere. I think it started on Instagram and now there is a facebook group. It seems to be a lot of fun and I am kind of crazy about it.
Here are some explanations from Janette which can be seen at http://janettelane.blogspot.com/ :
What's a pocket letter ?
In details:
1. The letter does not have to be long. Introduce yourself and let your pocket letter pal know more about you.
2. You can include die cuts, cute paper bits, vellum paper, etc.
3. You can stuck a few stickers.
4. Mail tag is a specific set of questions that are asked so your pocket letter pal can answer in his or her reply to you. Make the questions on the shorter side, and only as a few.
5. Chose a nice quote and insert it
6. Write short tidbits of things you like, dislike, hobbies, etc.
7. You can include pretty much anything you can in this pocket.
8. The pocket letter explanation card gives a brief overview of pocket letters and how it works. But as long as your penpal is expecting it you can replace it by something else.
9. a wrapped tea bag for your penpal to sip while discovering your pocket letter.

I searched for those plastic pocket letters. I had a look on amazon webpage. The price range is kind of wide but my main problem was to receive it in France. I bought a pack of 100 for € 16.63 but/and I had to pay € 24.83 for handling and shipping. Isn't that ridiculous ? Not sure when they will be delivered though !
My Japanese penpal promised me to send one to me as she already created some for her others penpals. Meantime I had two requests on facebook for a single swap and I requested for one. That is two for sure maybe three if the lady I sent a request to answered yes.
As I am not really sure when the plastic pocket sheet will arrive, I decided to start to collect those bids and pieces and try to get organised in order to be ready fast when the plastic pocket sheets arrive.
To be continued ...
